Lisa Podlecki, BSc, RD, Dip. Sport Nutrition IOC

Hello! My name is Lisa. I am a registered sports and eating disorder dietitian, living in Vancouver, British Columbia. My decision to specialize in these two areas are from my passion to help people, prevent eating disorders/disordered eating and my love of running.

I work with athletes, active individuals, and anyone navigating recovery from an eating disorder or looking to improve their relationship with food and their body.

I understand how overwhelming it can feel to sort through all the conflicting nutrition advice — and the pressure that diet culture places on how our bodies should look and what we should eat. My approach as a Vancouver sports and eating disorder dietitian is rooted in empathy and understanding. I want you to feel seen, heard and supported every step of the way.

I believe in a collaborative, team-based approach to care. I work closely with a client’s family, if permitted and healthcare providers such as physicians, therapists and coaches to ensure you feel fully supported and cared for. Together, we can create a cohesive plan that addresses both your physical and emotional well-being.

Whether you’re working toward athletic performance goals, rebuilding your relationship with food and your body, or simply looking for evidence-based nutrition guidance, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we will create realistic, sustainable strategies that fit your life. I offer nutrition counseling virtually in Vancouver and throughout British Columbia, to help you meet your goals with confidence and clarity.

Why the Name Oak Tree Nutrition?

The name Oak Tree Nutrition stems from my love of being outdoors, trail running and the symbolism behind the oak tree. The oak tree represents courage, strength, health & healing — qualities I believe every athlete has.

Like the oak tree, I envision nutrition and health in a similar way; with the roots of the oak tree representing reputable knowledge that acts as a strong foundation and the sunlight and nourishment it receives representing the proper nutrition an athlete needs to grow and develop.

Athletes who work with me will develop a strong foundation with support and guidance along the way in order to meet their goals, stay healthy and be happy.
