Wherever you're starting from, you don't have to figure it out alone.
A few of the questions I hear most — and if yours isn't here, just reach out.
Direct billing is available for select insurance providers; however, not all plans allow registered dietitians to bill directly. Packages are paid in full before the first session, and you'll receive an individual receipt after each session to submit to your insurer, as many plans require per-session claims rather than a bundled package.
If your plan covers a total dollar amount rather than a per-session limit, direct billing may be possible. Any remaining balance is charged to the secure credit card on file — I never have access to your full card details. Please contact your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.
It depends on your goals and where you're starting from. For athletes, we often build a strong day-to-day fueling foundation before moving into race preparation or performance strategies — usually around three to four sessions.
For RED-S, the number of sessions varies with individual needs and complexity, often involving collaboration with your healthcare and training team. For eating disorders or disordered eating, frequency can range from weekly to every three to four weeks and may continue for several months, depending on your needs.
I've been a Registered Dietitian for over 10 years across clinical, outpatient, and private-practice settings. My specialized training includes the International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Nutrition and advanced education in eating disorder care, plus extensive additional coursework in both areas.
Beyond private practice, I work in a residential eating disorder treatment facility and have presented across Canada to sports teams, coaches, parents, and healthcare providers — including the Paralympic swim team, figure skaters, ringette and soccer players, and athletes of all ages and levels. I also completed part of my dietetic internship with the Canadian Sport Institute. As an endurance runner of 15+ years, I understand both the science and the lived experience of fueling for performance, recovery, and long-term health.
My approach is holistic, compassionate, and collaborative. I blend evidence-based nutrition with mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and eastern philosophies to support both the physical and emotional aspects of health, and I work closely with physicians, therapists, and coaches to provide coordinated care.
Your first session focuses on getting to know you — your goals, history, and current challenges. Beforehand, you'll get access to your secure client account in the Practice Better portal to complete intake and consent forms; the portal is also used for ongoing communication, resources, and session summaries between appointments.
Follow-up sessions let us go deeper, explore progress, and adjust your plan as needed. With a package and your consent, I may connect with your caregivers or healthcare team so you're fully supported.
Yes — with flexibility. Packages include sample days, meal and snack frameworks, practical swaps, and personalized food ideas to help you apply nutrition in real life, without a fixed weekly plan. Athlete plans tend to be more performance-focused, while eating disorder recovery plans are developed collaboratively to support gentle nourishment and consistency.
Customized meal plans are available as an optional add-on and include structured meals and snacks, grocery lists, and flexible swaps. All plans are personalized to your goals and where you are in your journey.
All sessions are currently virtual and serve clients across British Columbia.
You're always welcome to continue working together. For ongoing support beyond your initial package, you can purchase the Continued Support Package or additional follow-up sessions. We'll discuss options and timing together as you near the end of your package.
It depends on what best supports you. Some clients prefer structure; others thrive with a more flexible or intuitive approach. For athletes, I can provide detailed, data-driven recommendations; for eating disorder recovery, we collaborate to find a rhythm that feels safe and sustainable.
Yes. I've worked extensively with eating disorders and disordered eating for more than a decade — in private practice and in a residential treatment setting — collaborating with therapists, physicians, and caregivers to ensure compassionate, coordinated care.
Absolutely. You're welcome to bring a parent or caregiver into your session, and you decide how much I share and how long they're involved.
Confidentiality is always respected, except in rare circumstances where there is concern about your safety or the safety of others, in which case I'm required to take appropriate steps to ensure support.
Right now my focus is one-to-one nutrition counselling. I'm also developing programs to expand support, including:
Yes. I believe nutrition support should be accessible to everyone navigating an eating disorder, so I offer a limited number of reduced-cost spots each month, with marginalized populations prioritized. To inquire about availability, please reach out directly, and I'll follow up to discuss whether a reduced-cost spot may be a fit.
