Signs You Might Benefit From Eating Disorder Nutrition Support

Are you

Maybe you're struggling with food but unsure if it's "serious enough" to ask for help. Maybe you feel critical of your body, anxious around meals, or caught in cycles of restriction, bingeing, or over-exercising — and food and your body take up more space in your mind than you'd like.

Deep down, you want to feel at peace with food, trust your body, and live a life that isn't ruled by eating or body worries.

Whether or not you've been diagnosed, you deserve support.

As an eating disorders dietitian in Vancouver, I'm here to help you find that freedom.

Why nutrition support matters

“Individualized nutrition support significantly improves recovery outcomes — reducing anxiety around meals and lowering the risk of long-term health complications.”

That’s why working with a registered dietitian as part of your care team matters.

What to expect

Working with an Eating Disorders Dietitian: What to Expect

At Oak Tree Nutrition, I provide individualized, compassionate nutrition support to help you break unhelpful patterns, rebuild trust with your body, restore balance, and regain freedom around food and how you feel about yourself. Together, we explore the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck and create space for healing and growth.

Healing your relationship with food and your body takes time, compassion, and the right kind of support. My approach is gentle, evidence-based, and rooted in understanding — focused on helping you feel better and live the life you want, without shame or fear.

Each session is designed to meet you where you are. Together, we will rebuild your trust in food and your body, reduce anxiety or stress around eating, and reconnect you with your internal cues.

Using a holistic and trauma-informed approach, I integrate science, mindfulness, and collaboration with your care team to help you feel safe, supported, and confident as you heal.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Eating Disorder Nutrition Support

Do I need a diagnosis to work with you?

Not at all. Whether you've been diagnosed or just feel that food and your body take up more space than you'd like, you're welcome here.

Is support virtual?

Yes. I'm based in Vancouver and work virtually with people across British Columbia, so you can be supported from wherever you are.

Do you provide receipts or direct billing for insurance?

You'll receive a receipt after each session to submit to your insurer, and direct billing may be available depending on your plan.

Is our work confidential?

Yes. Our sessions are private, and anything you share stays between us, within my professional obligations as a Registered Dietitian.

Do you work with my therapist, doctor, or care team?

Absolutely. I collaborate with your existing care team when helpful, so your support feels connected rather than scattered.

Do you focus on weight loss?

No — my care is non-diet and weight-inclusive, and weight loss is never the goal. In some situations, such as recovery from restrictive eating, weight can be one part of understanding your health. When it is, we approach it gently and transparently, always in the context of your whole wellbeing — never as a number to judge.

What if I'm nervous to start?

That's completely normal and understandable. Please know I'm here to help you, and to be part of your team. We'll go at your pace and work alongside the other members of your care team to support you throughout your recovery journey.
